If you have any questions about the nomination process, go to the CHAPTERS page for bolded instructions for locating and contacting a program leader.
Anyone may nominate anyone for the Hall of Honor. Nominations are accepted for living and deceased Oklahomans who are/were veterans; and for those who have not served in the military but supported veteran/military related activity.

Nominations are to be submitted through any of the active chapters listed. The integrity of the nominations will be assured by the Chapter Ambassador
Contact the Chapter ambassador for any questions.
1. The required nomination will include a nomination cover sheet (see download above) and a nomination statement of no more than 160 words that will appear on the Hall of Honor citation.
2 A nomination may be prepared and submitted at any time. Normal approval time is measured in weeks.
3. The Chapter Ambassador may request additional documentation from the nominator.
4. Upon approval by the Statewide Ambassador, the Chapter Ambassador be receive a printed certificate (or PDF file for local printing) and medallion for an appropriate local presentation to the honoree.
These Prerequisites are identical to the Hall of Fame. For non-military persons, numbers 2, 4 and 5 will apply
1. Have been honorably discharged from any branch of the 8 Uniformed Services.
2. Have no felony convictions.
3. Provide DD Form 214, or equivalent if discharged prior to 1950.
4. Must have either been born in Oklahoma, entered milit

4. Must have either been born in Oklahoma, entered military service from Oklahoma, or lived in Oklahoma for a minimum of seven years.
5. Be of good character.
The Chapter Ambassador will arrange to present the certificate and medallion at a time/place/date mutually determined by both the Chapter and recipient.
Should a Chapter desire to frame the certificate, and/or engrave the medallion, the expense will be borne by the Chapter.
Any other presentation expenses will also be borne by the Chapter.
