We lost Mac in 2023. He was a close personal friend and very much the inspiration for the founding of our Foundation 25 years ago. As an Army Veteran and citizen of the Cherokee Nation, Mac was inspired to create the unique Soldier/Indian medallion design and motto of “Spirit of a Warrior, Heart of a Patriot.” The logo and motto have been the inspiration and guiding light for the Foundation for our first 25 years. Over the years, Mac produced the portrait art for honorees, as well as the honoree and ambassador certificates. His talent and creative nature have been a gift.
