Veterans Day 2024 was observed at a Middle/Upper School Assembly sponsored at Cascia Hall Preparatory School in Tulsa. More than 500 students and families attended. Two Cascia Hall graduates were posthumously inducted into the Oklahoma Military Hall of Honor. They were LT Joseph Lauinger and CPT John Benien. The ceremony was hosted by Headmaster Father Philip Cook, and Bob Sullivan, a Cascia Hall alumnus, was the coordinator. The keynote speaker was Governor Frank Keating, a Cascia Hall graduate. Other speakers included the families of the honorees, and Mike Lapolla from the Oklahoma Military Heritage Foundation. In addition to patriotic video clips, Father Joseph Roccasalva sang "God Bless America".

to join the Union Army. He became a
highly respected and decorated Union officer,
reaching the rank of brigadier general.
